Overwatch’s Excavation Initiative event is back, giving players over a month to ear some free loot boxes.

The returning Excavation Initiative event runs from Nov. 3 to Dec. 7, giving Overwatch players a bit over a month to complete challenges for loot boxes galore.
To participate, players must win at least one match on three different days per week. Completing one weekly dig results in a regular loot box while two weekly digs mean an epic loot box. Finally, those who complete four weekly digs in total receive a legendary loot box.

If the free loot boxes from the Excavation Initiative event isn’t enough, then players can also look forward to the return of Junkrat’s Loot Hunt. This event runs from Nov. 20 to Nov. 23 and just so happens to be on a Double XP weekend, meaning Overwatch players can stack their games up and earn progress toward both in-game events.
Don’t forget about Overwatch’s EVE Protocol and Taking Reign events, either. These kicked off on Nov. 3, allowing players to also stack their progress for more freebies.
Notable rewards for the EVE Protocol event include two D.Va voice lines, the Cryo Coffee weapon charm, and five name cards representing Eve Widowmaker, Tachy Vendetta, Raven Freja, Adam Soldier: 76, and Lily D.Va.
Meanwhile, the Taking Reign event features a free event pass that lets players earn the New Empire Sigma skin, a loot box, Vendetta and Doomfist-themed sprays, and so much more.
