Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Wave 2 Lineup Announced

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass August 2026 Wave 2 lineup, and it includes a number of day-one releases.

Available tomorrow, August 19, is Vapor World: Over the Mind as a day one launch on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Vapor World: Over The Mind is a narrative-driven souls-like platformer focused on deflection combat.

Blood Dungeon (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) is another day one launch on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, this time on August 25. It’s a 2D platforming survival game from the creators of Nidhogg.

Here’s a big one: Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy launches on August 27 across Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day one release. “Follow Sophia’s journey to the Minotaur’s Island, where she faces deadly trials, navigates treacherous trails, solves puzzles, all while fighting and staying one step ahead of the army chasing her,” reads the official blurb. “But the true challenge awaits, as the terrifying creature hidden behind the myth will soon resonate with her.”

• Aerial_Knight’s DropShot (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – August 25, Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• Blood Dungeon (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC) – August 25, Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass
• Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC) – August 27, Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass
• Young Suns (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 31, Now with Game Pass Premium; joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• Shelldiver (Cloud, Console, and PC) – September 1, Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass

As always, a number of games leave Game Pass this month. Microsoft also signaled that NBA 2K26 leaves Game Pass on September 6, two days after NBA 2K27 comes out.
