Beard Papa’s is teaming up with Persona to celebrate the RPG series’ 30th anniversary with some special cream puffs.
Beard Papa’s is a Japanese dessert chain with locations sprinkled across the US. It’s best known for its primary offering, cream puffs, which come in a variety of different flavors and combinations for customers to choose from.
Starting September 4, participating Beard Papa’s locations within the United States will transform their interiors and offer up several new flavors of cream puffs in collaboration with Persona.
These storefronts will feature Persona-themed digital menu boards, bakery case graphics, posters, television displays, and more, transforming them into a real-life Persona menu screen. And for mega-fans, the Beard Papa’s locations in Little Tokyo and Cerritos will include large-format anniversary murals specifically designed for photo opportunities.
Limited-time cream puff flavors are also on offer: Original Cream Puff, Matcha Cream Puff, Ube S’mores Cream Puff, Cookies & Cream Cream Puff, and the Double Berry Cream Puff, each inspired by specific games in the Persona series.
Four and six-pack gift sets are also available for purchase. The four-pack set comes with four featured cream puffs, a Persona chibi sticker sheet, and an in-game code card for Persona 5: The Phantom X. The six-pack set comes with six cream puffs, a blind-packed acrylic standee featuring one of eight designs, and an in-game code card for Persona 5: The Phantom X.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a collab if there wasn’t merchandise involved; you can also snag a ceramic mug, a T-shirt, zip hoodie, and eco tote bag as part of the Persona x Beard Papa’s partnership on the official Beard Papa’s website.
This collaboration lasts from September 4 to October 4, just in time to herald the next big developments for the Persona series. Persona 4 Revival, a full remake of Persona 4 Golden, is set to release in February 2027, and Atlus is hard at work on the next entry in the franchise, Persona 6.
It’s a big time for Persona; a live-action adaptation is in the works at Netflix, with Christopher Monfette attached as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Robert Atwood are also attached to executive produce, alongside Sega’s Toru Nakahara.
Beyond that, Kazuhisa Wada, producer for Atlus’ P-Studio, recently remarked that he believes the studio will “have to” do remakes of the first and second games in the Persona series, giving fans even more to look forward to as the days tick down to Persona 4 Revival’s release.
