Overwatch just released a brand-new short story that goes over the state of Doomfist’s Talon. Titled “All That Follows” and read by Doctrine voice actor Tashinga Bepete, this story had some interesting story details. Here is esports.gg’s recap of the new Talon story and what it could mean to the Overwatch narrative moving forward.

New Overwatch comic: All That Follows with Tashinga Bepete recap
In Overwatch’s “All That Follows” story, Doctrine recalls Doomfist’s recent victory over Vendetta in Rome. Doomfist’s Talon, consisting of himself, Doctrine, Mauga, Moira, Maximilien, Widowmaker, Sombra, and Reaper, are now seated at their new Watchpoint: Grimsvötn base.
Doctrine gives his perspective on Maximilien, Mauga, and Moira, who were under Vendetta’s Reign of Talon not so long ago. He also notes how Reaper and Widowmaker, loyal to Doomfist, are not amused by their presence.
Doctrine hints at new Overwatch heroes
Doctrine then reveals that he has a colony of drones lying in wait within Watchpoint: Grimsvötn’s walls. In the past, Helix tried to reclaim the area, but to no avail. He reports that his “fellow zealots have been freed” as well.
This part of the new short story is quite interesting because Doctrine may be hinting at upcoming playable Overwatch heroes affiliated with the Talon faction. He says, “And if our fates are so fortunate, some of them may even bolster our cause.” Based on our observations, the hints about Hero 56 scattered throughout the in-game Watchpoint: Grimsvötn map may also be related to this.
Potential Reaper and Widowmaker redemption arc?
There’s a lot of tension in the room, and it reaches a breaking point when Sombra says that Watchpoint: Grimsvötn once held the most dangerous of criminals. However, they’re now all loose. Moira then mocks Sombra’s concern about Sigma while Reaper and Widowmaker challenge Moira about the harmful effects of her substances.
Reaper and Widowmaker’s outbursts are noteworthy because when Doomfist fell to Vendetta earlier this year, Reaper and Widowmaker refused to serve under her while Moira joined her. Without Moira’s substances constantly coursing through their veins, Reaper and Widowmaker began experiencing some interesting changes.

Reaper, formerly known as Gabriel Reyes, now has a focus and clarity in him. Widowmaker, formerly Amélie Lacroix, also makes an interesting challenge to Moira. Talon’s neural reconditioning was responsible for Widowmaker killing her husband, Gérard Lacroix. Although she previously seemed more concerned with forgetting her past and reclaiming her precision, this confrontation with Moira suggests that she’s now questioning the substances keeping her under Talon’s control.
As the room continues to tear itself apart, Doctrine shares a knowing smile with Mauga and realizes that the latter’s foolishness is an act.
Where is Vendetta in the Overwatch story now?
Soon, Doomfist ends the noise and declares that they’re all responsible for evolving beyond their setbacks. He also answers the scared Maximilien’s question about Vendetta’s whereabouts. According to Doomfist, Vendetta is currently being held by the United Nations and Overwatch. However, that may not be the case for long.
When the meeting adjourns, Doctrine says that every failure and setback would be forged into the strength required to change the world in this new era of Talon.
