Beast of Reincarnation‘s Manuals are your ticket to new items, most of which are pretty essential as you guide Emma toward the Capital City. Manuals give you things like fire arrows and acid bolts, along with some exceptionally useful items for Koo to use in battle, including a second health restorative that works in addition to your emergency medicine.
You might not end up using every item a Manual teaches you to craft. Some, like Extinguishing Sand and Torches, are situational, and you can get by without them. Others, like the medicinal tonics and elemental arrows, give you an edge against tougher enemies, especially on the game’s higher difficulty levels. However, unlike weapons and armor, most of these are tucked away in hard-to-reach places or guarded by elite enemies — or both. There are several you can just spend amber to get, though.
