BC.Game’s signing of Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev’s at the end of last year raised a lot of eyebows in the wider Counter-Strike community. The Ukrainian AWPer might have been considered by many to be the greatest player in CS:GO history, but he’d been away from professional competition for a long time, and the org he chose felt like a mismatch at that stage of his career. It looked like an experiment, a gimmick — a stunt. Nobody thought it would be a success on either side. Now, almost a year later, the perception has changed and the only ones laughing are BC.Game.
How the current roster came together
BC.Game knew they had to tear down their roster and rebuild throughout the first half of 2026. A Portuguese trio led by António ‘aragornN’ Barbosa was sidelined, and the org moved instead to sign players who had genuine experience, pedigree and potential.
