Magic: The Gathering is already preparing for a return trip to Middle-Earth and a detour to the Final Frontier, but the next Secret Lair Commander deck has been revealed – and it couldn’t be further from either.
Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku is a new ready-to-play 100-card Commander precon celebrating the iconic virtual vocalist and packed with fresh cards in a Green-White color identity.
Magic’s Next Commander Deck Is Hatsune Miku
Rumors had been swirling about a new Hatsune Miku Secret Lair drop, especially since we’ve had a few of them before, but this Commander deck includes 12 Foil borderless cards with new artwork, 7 Plains and 7 Forests in Foil with full-art treatments, and 74 non-foil reprints.
That’s alongside 10 non-foil double-sided tokens and a display Commander card for Trostani, Selensya’s Voice, as well as a deck box.
“Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku captures the bright, expressive, and collaborative spirit that has made Hatsune Miku a global phenomenon,” a press release explains, and confirms there will be artwork included from KEI, 八三/HASSAN, and さいとうなおき/NAOKI SAITO.
Cards include Archangel of Thune, Aetherflux Reservoir, Voice of the Blessed, and more, but perhaps the thing hitting the right note here is the purchasing process (or at least we hope it will).
Earlier this year, Magic’s Goblin Storm Commander Deck was swallowed up by scalpers within minutes of launch, leaving collectors feeling hard done by while they queued for the deck and saw eBay listings skyrocketing at the same time.
This time around, Secret Lair is introducing a 24-hour window to help players get their hands on the product. “Orders placed between Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT and Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 8:59 a.m. PT will be fulfilled,” the press release explains, with some shipping straight away and others slated for May 2027 in North America and June 2027 for EU/UK.
