This cat-themed PC case has the best power button I’ve ever seen

Simply the cat's pyjamas.

This cat-themed PC case has the best power button I’ve ever seen

I’ve been watching Colorfire’s cat-themed Meow product line with much interest over the years. While I’ve already got a kitty-eared headset, I’m sure a full feline-themed set-up would help me achieve my final form as a hardware writer. The Meow series’ ME26A PC case may prove the perfect canvas towards realising that dream.

In terms of styling, the ME26A is low-key compared to other entries in the Meow series. For starters, pizza-eating mascot Bobi is seemingly nowhere to be seen (unlike the Meow-X gaming PC set Colorfire showed off at last year’s Computex). There’s a very fun ‘Meow’-shaped air grate on the front, and even a bit of tasteful wooden trim. The cat hasn’t completely left the build, though.

The ME26A PC case also enjoys an almost subtle kitty paw motif, with orange decals on the chassis itself, just above the front I/O panel. Daubed in kitty pawprints, the front I/O features 1x USB-A, plus 1x USB-C port rated for up to 20 Gbps.

It also happens to feature one of the best power buttons I’ve ever seen—if I can start my day by squishing fake toe beans, I know it’s going to be a good day (via VideoCardz).

Honestly, I already can’t imagine a better thing to play Cat Mail Co. on, but let’s talk case specs. Supporting both microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, a cute, smaller form factor build is what the ME26A PC case aims for. That said, this case still supports standard-sized ATX power supplies, too. As for your all-important GPU, this case offers up to 435 mm of clearance—which is more than enough space for the Meow series’ bright orange, twin-fan RTX 5050.

To keep everything cool, there’s room for nine fans plus a 360 mm, top-mounted liquid cooler. Better yet, you won’t be crying like a cat at dinner time trying to get inside the case to install these; the ME26A’s dust filter and side panels can be popped off without the use of tools.

To burst my own bubble, though, Colorfire has not yet announced pricing information or region availability. Alas, my feline-themed build may be a dream I simply have to resign to the great cat bed in the sky.
