Pokémon TCG Pitch Black ETBs and Booster Sets Are Back in Stock at Amazon

Pokémon TCG Pitch Black ETBs and Booster Sets Are Back in Stock at Amazon
ThePawn.com July 20, 2026 6 minutes read

Pokémon TCG’s next Mega Evolution expansion, Pitch Black, is officially now available. That’s great news, but what is even better is that Amazon has once again restocked Pitch Black Booster Bundles, and they’re now down to just $49.94 if you lock in your order today.

You can also now pick up Pitch Black Booster Display sets, featuring 36 boosters from the new Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution expansion, for $229.95, $40 off the $279.99 list price. Finally, you can also pick up the Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box for $94.86, over $25 off the $119.99 list price.

Pokémon TCG: Best Deal for ETBs and Sealed Boosters

I believe the ETB is probably the most notable of these restocks at Amazon right now. While it’s around $10 above market price compared to trusted sites like TCGplayer, it’s still a great option for those who prefer to buy new, from a standard retailer, not resale, and with the option for fast delivery with Amazon Prime. Still, if you prefer to buy with TCGplayer to save that little bit extra (not accounting for delivery), then it’s a great option as well.

Here’s what it includes:

  • 9 Pokémon booster packs
  • 65 card sleeves
  • 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
  • A player’s guide to the expansion
  • 6 damage-counter dice
  • 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
  • 2 plastic condition markers
  • A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
  • A code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live

If you’re opting for the booster bundles, that includes six Pitch Black packs to open at $49.94, which works out at about $8.32 per pack. If you’re going for the booster display set, at $229.95, that works out at around $6.38 per pack, which is a significantly better deal, at least if you have the cash to buy!

It’s not the greatest deal we’ve ever seen for a Booster Bundle, but it’s a whole lot better than before. I also want to emphasize that this is “sold and shipped” directly from Amazon itself, and not via any third-party sellers.

But let’s also not forget that this is still wildly beyond the original MSRP. At $50, that’s around $20 more than the original $30 MSRP. Yet, that’s just what we expect with Pokémon TCG these days.

Yet, no matter how unfortunate it is, this is often the price you have to pay now, even from big retailers like Amazon. But is it worth it? Only you can be the judge of that.

The market price is often dictated by what the majority of people are willing to pay, but only you can decide if this if truely worth your money. If you do decide to preorder, it might be best to pick up two or three just in case this sells out between now and release day.

Moreover, with Amazon’s preorder price guarantee, you won’t pay any more than the price from when you first ordered, and you’ll even get any additional discounts retroactively applied to your order as well. Final reminder, Amazon won’t actually charge you for these until it ships, a nice benefit for those who want to pay for a preorder when it’s actually on its way to them.

What is Pokémon TCG Pitch Black?

Pokemon TCG’s next English Mega Evolution expansion to release is Pitch Black. At over 115 cards, Pitch Black is a much leaner, more manageable expansion compared to the Coalossal 295-card checklist of Ascended Heroes.

We currently know 4 of the 6 Mega Evolution Pokémon – Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex. Could we be about to get a viable Lightning type attacker? Only time will tell.

It’s already looking like the dark, brooding sibling to the bright Ascended Heroes cards we’ve been chasing all summer.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • 6 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
  • 4 Pokémon ex
  • 11 Illustration Rare Pokémon
  • 18 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
  • 6 Special Illustration Rares (Pokémon and Supporters)
  • Over 20 Trainer cards
  • 35+ total cards with special illustrations

Pitch Black Chase Cards

This new expansion focuses on spooky Pokémon, led by Mega Darkrai. This expansion is all about Ghost and Dark-types, eerie cityscapes, and mixing things up with powerful new Mega Evolutions and never-before-seen Trainer cards.

Early data from TCGPlayer shows Pitch Black is already generating a lot of buzz among collectors and players, with several cards quickly rising in value and search volume.

Highlights include the Mega Darkrai ex Mega Hyper Rare taking the top spot. Now that is one scary price tag at $996.69, but remember, we are only in week one and the secondary market will likely settle down a bit as more packs are opened.

Not everyone is a fan of these Mega Hyper Rare gold cards, but no matter your opinion on the aesthetic, if you pull this golden nightmare, congratulations! You just won the release week lottery.

Pokémon TCG: Best Deals Today

If you’re looking for even more Pokémon TCG deals, then look no further. The biggest recent offers at Amazon, in terms of restocks and discounts, are on the Chaos Rising ETB for $79.99, at market price, and the Prismatic Evolution ETB, at $178, way below market price.
