Square Enix Games Are Getting Hefty Discounts in Amazon’s Prime Day Sales

Square Enix is one of the most beloved developers in the game industry for a reason. The Japanese publisher is known for iconic series like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Nier, and many more. Amazon Prime Day is now officially live and includes some very solid Square Enix deals. If you’ve missed out on some of the company’s biggest games in recent years, this is a great opportunity to pick up your next RPG at a discount.

Save on Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the ultimate version of the first chapter in the Final Fantasy VII remake series, following Cloud Strife and the party from the very beginning through the escape from Midgar. This vastly expanded adventure is solely set in Midgar, allowing you to connect with the city like never before. Intergrade brought graphical enhancements and two new chapters, called Episode Intermission, that star Yuffie Kisaragi and her infiltration of Shinra HQ.

For Prime Day, you can score Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for $29.99 on the Nintendo Switch 2 and $19.99 on the PlayStation 5. If you want to prepare for Final Fantasy VII Revelation next year, this is where to start your journey. I’ve played both versions extensively, and rest assured, each is an excellent way to experience Intergrade.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined for $44.99

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined just released in February, and if you’ve yet to pick up the game, you can save $15 buying it for any platform during Prime Day. This adventure reimagines the 2000 classic with 3D-scanned physical dolls to create a unique, almost diorama-like art style. In our 7/10 review, we wrote, “Every version of Dragon Quest VII is a flawed gem, with its own blemishes and imperfections, but gems they all remain. The way it reveals its world to you stands out from any other game in this long-running series, and seeing the results of your actions in the past affect the present day is just as charming now as it was when I first put the disk in my PlayStation.”

Octopath Traveler 0 for $34.99

I don’t think it is a stretch to call Octopath Traveler 0 one of the best RPGs of 2025. This game is jam-packed with content, with Square Enix reimagining some of the storyline from Champions of the Continent as a single-player experience on consoles. During Prime Day, you can pick up a copy for $34.99, a steal considering this game easily has over 100 hours of content. Octopath Traveler is a standalone game, so you can jump in and experience this RPG even if its your first time checking out the series.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake for $39.99

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is a very ambitious pair of remakes, breathing new life into these classics. Dragon Quest II especially saw huge additions to its story, making this the definitive version of the game. Amazon has discounted copies of Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake down to $39.99, which is one of the best prices we’ve seen since release. In our 9/10 review, we wrote, “Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake beautifully concludes this trilogy, recapturing the retro magic of the originals while giving them a modern facelift.”

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake for $24.99

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was such a joy to experience in 2024, as it reimagined one of the most legendary RPGs ever in a brilliant way. For Prime Day, you can score a copy for only $24.99. It’s a surprisingly meaty experience, with the 100% completion taking around 70 hours in my experience. This is an excellent game to pack and play on the go on the Nintendo Switch, and you can even take advantage of a free update for the Switch 2 to experience enhanced resolution and frame rate.

Pre-Order Upcoming Square Enix Games

Finally, upcoming Square Enix games are also available to pre-order. This includes the Kingdom Hearts Collection [I-III] for the Switch 2 and PS5, which packs in every Kingdom Hearts game besides Melody of Memory. Others up for preorder are Final Fantasy Resonance, the first HD-2D Final Fantasy, as well as the next two Dragon Quest releases.
