If you’ve done much exploring to the east of your starting area in Subnautica 2, you’ll likely have come across a region of the ocean where the temperature starts to increase. This “hot biome” is called the Zezuran Desert. It’s home to a great many thermal vents which spew out boiling hot water, and if you try to push into the area, you’ll find that your flimsy terrestrial body simply cannot handle the heat.
