The latest anime gacha game on the block, Neverness to Everness (better known as NTE) is, ostensibly, an open-world action RPG. Pretty part and parcel for these types of free-to-play games, I assumed, until I realised it was a full-on smorgasbord of open world mechanics. It’s got a GTA-like wanted system, intricate combo-based combat, street racing, Yakuza-like mini-games, and a supernatural main story that has you challenging all manner of spooky monsters.
