The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is set to release on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox, and PC on June 18. It’s a new HD-2D RPG from Square Enix, specifically the makers of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler. It looks great, with “an epic tale that spans across millennia.” It also features real-time combat, which separates it from its predecessors. What Is The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales?

There’s not much in the way of information about this game available at the moment. That said, we know The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales follows the titular character Elliot and the Fairy Fae as they go on an adventure in an “untamed world.” You’ll travel through four ages spanning 1,000 years to lift a curse on a princess.

Unlike previous HD-2D RPGs from developer Claytechworks, the combat in Elliot takes place in real time, rather than being turn-based. It looks fun in the trailers.
