Bluey’s “Dad Baby” episode is now available to watch online after being excluded from the Disney+ library for the Australian cartoon series.

The official Bluey YouTube channel uploaded the full “Dad Baby” episode on May 1, meaning audiences can now watch it for free. Those in Bluey’s native Australia might have already seen this story when it aired, but those relying on Disney+ have never had the opportunity to watch it (legally, anyway) until now. It still remains excluded from the Disney+ library.

“Dad Baby” is the 13th episode of Bluey Season 2 and the 65th episode in the series overall. In it, Bandit, the patriarch of the Heeler family, shows his kids, Bluey and Bingo, how to use their old baby harness, but according to the official logline, he is “unprepared for the harsh realities of giving birth to a baby Bingo.”

As noted by Polygon, Disney+ has never made the episode available on its streaming service or explained why the 7-minute short story is missing from the three-season run. It could, however, be due to the depiction of pregnancy and childbirth, which might be deemed too mature for the target audience of preschoolers.

Since launching in Australia in 2018, Bluey has received consistently high viewership and critical success across the globe. It has even spawned a video game (aptly titled Bluey: The Videogame) that came out in November of last year, and it was also one of the titles included in the Xbox Game Pass’ February 2024 line-up.

IGN’s review of Bluey: The Videogame said it “may look the part but, with shonky controls and barely two hours of gameplay, everywhere else it’s a dog’s breakfast.”
