LoL 2024 Void Map – Jungle camps

The jungle camps will have a new look once Baron Nashor spawns on the Rift at the usual 20 minutes. Both blue and red buffs, as well as the Scuttle Crab will have a new look. According to Riot Games, all camps will become more durable but teams will be rewarded when taking them down: the two jungle camps will grant team-wide buffs to the entire team of the player that takes them down (excluding any allies that were dead).

This change will make both buffs a lot more important, adding an extra layer of strategy and importance to the game. Having team-wide red buffs and blue buffs can be big difference-makers in certain fights, and there might be team compositions that can abuse those buffs. Imagine a two-ADC team composition with red buffs: it can be an obnoxious combination to play against.

It will also mean that teams might treat the void buffs as small objectives, leading to more skirmishes on the map. Paired with the terrain changes on Summoner’s Rift, we might witness a more skirmish-based game in the upcoming season.

Scuttle Crab changes

The Scuttle Crab, instead, will send out a massive Scryer’s Bloom effect, revealing all champions and wards in a large surrounding area. Similar to Scryer’s, all wards revealed this way will be reduced to 1 HP. The void version of the Scuttle, also known as Voidborn Scuttler, will be crucial in preparation for vision control around objectives.

While it’s unclear how much more resistant these jungle camps will be, they will definitely take a lot more time to kill, giving opponents more time to adjust and prepare themselves for upcoming fights. We’ll have to wait for the new Patch 14.1 Preview to understand how impactful these new jungle camps will be. For now, though, the new void version of the jungle should make LoL a lot more exciting heading into 2024.
