According to game designer Spideraxe, K’Sante, one of the strongest top laners of 2023, is getting hit with yet another rework.
K’Sante rework incoming – less damage, more resistances
Riot developers have decided to make a series of changes to the champion’s stats and abilities. Aside from his E ability, Footwork, all the others will receive some sort of adjustment in the PBE.
The goal is to make the champion more of a tank rather than a bruiser. Despite its negative win rate in solo queue, the champion has been a steady presence in professional play, given its incredible scaling and teamfighting ability. With that in mind, Riot will nerf some of its early-game damage and make him more vulnerable in the early stages, when he’s supposed to be at his weakest.
Additionally, they are removing the passive damage scaling with his resistances and giving back some damage to his abilities to balance things out. Regardless, it looks like it’s an overall nerf to his damage. The only moment where the champion should feel stronger is when the ultimate is activated.
Below is the entire list of changes planned for the champion.
K’Sante ability changes:
Health: 610 + 108 ⇒ 570 + 115 (buff after level 6)
Armor growth: 4.7 ⇒ 5.2 (+9 armor at level 18)
P mark no longer scales with 20% bonus resists during R
Q base damage: 50 – 150 ⇒ 30 – 150
RQ cooldown reduction: 1 second ⇒ 25% of ability’s cooldown
R bonus AD: 5 + 32.5% bonus resists ⇒ 15 – 45 + 25% bonus resists
R omnivamp: 10% + 0.75% per 100 bonus HP ⇒ 10% – 20%
R now grants 25% – 45% bonus attack speed
R health: 55% max HP ⇒ 65%
R knock back: 350 ⇒ 300
RW damage reduction: 30% + 1.2% per 100 bHP + 12% bonus resists ⇒ 50% – 75% based on lvl
RW now reduces cooldown: 24 – 16 seconds ⇒ 18 – 12 seconds
R non-wall damage damage: 35 – 105 + 20% AD ⇒ 70 – 150 + 100% AP
R wall damage damage: 150 – 350 + 20% AD ⇒ 70 – 150 + 100% AP
The changes are not official so they might be still subject to new adjustments before Patch 13.20 goes live on Wednesday, October 11. Regardless, it should give you a better idea of which direction Riot is taking for the champion.
