The State of Play is expected to set the stage in part for Tokyo Game Show, which will kick off on September 21. Expect to see Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Foamstars, and other previously-announced Japanese games during the event.
Sony is also preparing to give Spider-Man 2 one final push ahead of its October 20 release on PS5. Insomniac recently teased a Spider-Man 2 preview event with impressions set to go live on Friday, September 15 8am PT. Our own social media producer Jeffrey Vega was among the attendees.

IGN will share first impressions on Friday 9/15 at 8am PT, but in the meantime I’ll be posting non-gameplay videos of the preview event so make sure to follow @IGN!!
