Soul Calibur is one of the most iconic fighting game franchises. The sword fighter hasn’t exactly been a big focus lately though, it doesn’t feature at too many major events. Some are still trying to get some extra eyes on one of the bigger weapons fighters out there. Core is hosting a new Soul Calibur invitational! This is a brand new tournament for the Soul Calibur 6 title featuring some of the better-known players for the title.
This Soul Calibur 6 Invitational is being hosted by Core. It’s going to feature a number of major names in fighting games competing in the latest game in the series. This is how it’s all going to work.
Core Hosting Soul Calibur Invitational
The new Core event is going to be a part of the Let’s Mash Battle Series. It’ll be a new Invitational being hosted by the streamer core. However, plenty of great SC players will be there. We’ve already had some basic details revealed. The tournament will feature players like Sane, Rikuto, Hibachi, Slytiger, Incendiate, Vocal_Evolucien, Noxdeanoctis, and JIMBonator. SC doesn’t get too many tournaments so it’s great to see one hosted with such major players.
The tournament is being hosted by Core. While it’s not the only tournament in the series, this is one focusing on a lesser-played game. However, a decent prize pot of $500 is also being provided. The stream is getting broadcast on Core’s channel, CoreTheG. It’s going to be played on September 17th, starting at 6 PM EST. The event is a rare outing for this title, not to be missed if you’re looking for more action with weapon fighters.

While SC 6 is the game being played here, there is a new Soul Calibur game on the horizon. Soul Calibur 7 is currently being worked on. This is going to be a new sequel, although it isn’t expected until 2025 or even later. This pushes out a bit further than most of the big upcoming fighting games. Hopefully, events like this for Soul Calibur 6 can continue over the next few weeks.
