Ultimate Fighting Arena is returning in 2023, another entry for one of the biggest fighting game esports tournaments in Europe. We’re still a few months away from the tournament, with UFA 2023 only starting up in November. However, we’ve heard a bit more about the tournament that will make sure this is an event to remember for a lot of players. It’s going to be one of the biggest qualifying events for the Arc World Tour.
The AWT 2023 is the premier event for Guilty Gear Strive. It’s a larger circuit that sees players taking part in local events to earn a spot at a grand final early next year. So far, we’ve only seen a few qualifying events take place, the UFA 2023 will add another qualifier, letting players in Europe get more results clocked up for the AWT.
UFA 2023 Part of Arc World Tour
Ultimate Fighting Arena is one of the biggest competitive events for fighters in Europe. This is the fifth tournament in Paris for the series. It’s going to feature quite a few of the biggest fighting games, like Street Fighter 6, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Guilty Gear Strive. In terms of Arc tournaments, it includes both FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive.
The Arc World Tour will make the tournament for Guilty Gear Strive one of the most important in this region. We’ve already seen some players win qualifiers like GGS at EVO 2023. The upcoming qualifiers though are going to be tricky for European players. On the list so far is ArcREVO Japan, CEOTaku, and Rev Major. UFA 2023 joining these will give another opportunity for European players to make their way onto the leaderboard.
The Guilty Gear Strive tournament isn’t the only event at UFA. It’ll definitely be one to watch now it’s part of this wider circuit though.
