Squanch Games’ High on Life seemingly won’t be an Xbox console exclusive much longer as the game has been found in the PlayStation 4 backend.
As reported by VGC, Twitter user Knoebel spotted that a PS4 version of the game was listed on Orbis Patches, a website that tracks PS4 game updates. This suggests a version of the game exists on Sony platforms despite no official announcements as of yet.
High on Life, a bizarre first person shooter where players take on the role of an intergalactic bounty hunter that uses living, foul-mouthed guns to fight aliens, launched on Xbox and PC in December 2022.
It quickly proved popular, immediately breaking three Xbox Game Pass records for the biggest launch of 2022, the biggest third-party game launch ever, and the biggest single-player launch of all time.
An expansion for the game called High on Knife was announced during the 2023 Xbox Extended Showcase, which takes place two years after the events of the base game and includes a handful of new guns in a darker, spooky setting.
In our 8/10 review, IGN said: “High on Life is a laugh-out-loud funny space odyssey that’s chaotic, bizarre, and a ton of fun.”
