All XDefiant Weapons We Know Are In The Game

At the heart of the game, XDefiant is aiming to be a top-tier shooter. If there’s one thing that matters the most in any great shooter, it’s the weapons that players are able to get their hands on. It might be important that a shooter has great graphics, maps, or modes, but if the weapons are terrible, nobody will want to play the game. Fortunately, the XDefiant weapons are almost all completely recognisable, satisfying to use, and effective.

If you’ve been playing the closed or open beta phases, you’ll have picked up a first-hand experience of how these weapons behave. It’s a much faster-paced game, but it has a slower time-to-kill than games like Modern Warfare II, meaning a little more skill needs to be applied to stay on target. This is an impressive, developing game with a bright future – read on to learn about the XDefiant weapons that will one day be readily available in the game.

XDefiant Weapons Categories and What They Mean

In XDefiant, there are seven core categories of weaponry:

Assault Rifles
Marksman Rifles
Shotguns
Sniper rifles
Submachine Guns
Light Machine Guns
Handguns

Each category offers up a different playstyle, but owing to the base nature of XDefiant, they all lend themselves well to a fast rate of play. If you want to be as agile as possible, you’ll float around the map using a submachine gun with a high rate of fire and top-tier levels of manoeuvrability. If you’re a pinpoint shot who wants to take enemies down with just a few bullets, then you’ll ideally lean more towards a marksman rifle.

It’s expected that weapons will be periodically added to XDefiant after the game has been released. It’s more or less a live service game, which means that content will roll out over a period of time once it has launched in the open market.

For the most part, first-person shooter fans find themselves able to pivot based on the mode that they’re playing and even the people that they’re playing with. There are roles that can be played, and whether someone is playing as a support gunner, a spearhead, a medic, or a marksman, they’ll find weapons to suit their needs.
