In 2021, Sega celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise with a livestreamed virtual Sonic Symphony orchestral performance (watch it here). The music covered most of the mainline games in the series, with Crush 40 even joining for a virtual rock performance of several songs from the modern games in the series. Shortly after the performance, it was announced that the Sonic Symphony show would be going on a world tour, but to this point, we had only received a couple of cities like London and Los Angeles.
