Starfield-Themed Xbox External Hard Drive Preorders Now Live

The first Starfield-themed Xbox accessory is now available at Best Buy, and it’s the Starfield Special Edition Seagate Game Drives, with 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB hard drives all now listed on the US retailer. Starting at $109.99, there isn’t a confirmed release date for the drives, but preorders are still live for those interested.

The portable hard drives are externally based, featuring USB A and USB C ports, and are compatible with Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. Each HDD also features Starfield’s signature logo and crisp white design.

In other Xbox storage news, new third-party SSD expansion cards will be available soon from Western Digital. The 500GB card costs $79.99, while the 1TB will retail for $149.99 (the same price as Seagate’s 1TB storage expansion card). Both configurations are currently available to order on Western Digital’s website, Best Buy also has a listing, but only for the 1TB model.

Xbox Deals Unlocked sale is also currently live, with deals on Xbox games, alongside various other discounts including the Electric Volt Xbox Controller coming down to just $39.99, dropping $25 in total during the sale. Best Buy also has the standard Seagate Game Drive for Xbox 2TB (without the Starfield theming) down to just $79.99 at the moment.

Starfield is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 6, 2023, and a Starfield Direct will follow the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11 at 10am PT/1pm ET. This dedicated Starfield deep dive will feature “tons of new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information.”

Starfield was originally planned to be released on November 11, 2022, but it was delayed back in May 2022.
