Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is Getting a Closed Beta

At Summer Game Fest 2023, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is getting a closed beta.

The closed beta will begin today and run through June 28, with preregistration opening up soon. Unfortunately, the closed beta test is limited to Android users. Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis was announced back in 2021. It’s a compilation of all the games and stories set in the Final Fantasy VII universe (e.g., Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus), though a press release for the game’s announcement also confirmed that there would be new story elements that focused on the “origins of SOLIDER.”

The announcement comes as fans patiently await for Square Enix to share more information on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of the remake of Final Fantasy VII. While we don’t have an announcement yet, Square Enix has shared new information on what fans can expect from the next part of Final Fantasy VII Remake within the last few days. This includes a higher “degree of freedom,” confirmation that new characters will be featured in the game, and we learned that Rebirth players do not have to play Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Although we do not have a release date for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, we do know that the game will be available on Android and iOS devices.
