The PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2023 is set to happen from July 11 to 16 across two stages, the All Stars and the Main Tournament. Fourteen of the teams in the All-Stars Stage have been decided through in-game community voting and they have finally been locked in.
The PMWI 2023 features a total prize pool of $3 million. Teams from around the world will be competing in the tournament for the title of champions and a share of the prize pool. Just like last year, the tournament is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the Gamers8 festival.
PMWI All-Stars Stage Teams – Voting Results
Tencent launched in-game voting from May 26 to 30. Players could complete missions to earn votes and support their favorite teams. Finally, the publisher has revealed the winner from each region. This happened after a delay, though, as Tencent said that many illegitimate votes had been cast and they were later discarded.
The teams are as follows:
Bigetron Red Villains – PMPL Indonesia
FaZe Clan – PMPL Thailand
SEM9 – PMPL Malaysia
21 Esports – PMPL Vietnam
Yangon Galacticos – PMPL SEA Wildcard
DRS Gaming – PMPL South Asia
AGON x I8 Esports – PMPL Pakistan
iKURD E-SPORTS – PMPL Arabia
Titan Gaming – PMPL Africa
N Hyper Esports – PMPL North America
Aton Esports – PMPL Latin America
Alpha7 Esports – PMPL Brasil
S2G Esports – PMPL Türkiye
Gaimin Gladiators – PMPL Europe
Additionally, Vampire Esports have earned a direct slot as the defending PMWI champions. Lastly, there will be three more slots as well – one for the host country, one for Korea, and one for Japan’s Varrel.
Plenty riding on the All-Stars Stage
While the teams in the All-Stars stage have made it into the competition through community voting, they are still a force to be reckoned with.
The teams will be competing from July 11 to 13 at the Riyadh Boulevard. A lot is at stake, however, as the top six teams will advance to the Main Tournament to compete against the best of the world. The squads will battle in the PMWI Main Tournament from July 14 to 16. Ten regional champions will join the six teams from the All Stars stage to fight for the title.
Fans can watch all the matches live in multiple languages on the official PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube.
The PMWI will mark the end of the spring season of the PUBG Mobile esports roadmap. After this, the fall season will kick off which will determine the teams in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023. It will take place in December as an offline event as well.
