Developer Czech Perun Creative has announced Kromlech, a new action-adventure RPG with action-adventure elements that’s in development for PC. No release date has been announced as of yet. It’s not every day that a game is announced with a live-action trailer, but Kromlech has done just that, and you can check out that trailer above. A first batch of concept art is available in the gallery below.
Kromlech is set in a fictional world inspired by the early Iron Age Celts, among other cultures. Gameplay-wise, the developers are promising “brutal combat, challenge-based leveling, action-driven player decisions, an immersive world, no copy-paste enemies, roguelite elements,” and more.
Story-wise, the developers describe Kromlech as such: “The tapestry of our world had been woven by the gods with great care a long time ago. Only the mountains and the winds can remind us of those ancient times now. Under the guidance and the protection of the gods, our civilization has prospered and grown. Yet the Golden Age was not meant to last. The flames of war scorched the land and sown chaos in their wake. Darkness took hold of the hearts of many as kin slaughtered kin. The threads of the divine plan are becoming undone and what is the gods’ response? Deafening silence… However, there is yet hope. People whisper rumors of a fearless champion, a paragon of the old ways. “Cronach” they call him. Perhaps it will be him, who will lead us back into the light. In this life, or the next…”
Stay tuned for more on Kromlech as development progresses.
