With the LEC Summer Split fast approaching, Riot Games revealed the full dates for both the split and the 2023 LEC Season Finals.
LEC 2023 Summer Split – Schedule
Riot Games published the dates for the upcoming LEC Summer Split, with the competition running from June 17 to July 30. Shortly after the end of the Summer Split, the European region will also host the 2023 LEC Season Finals from August 19 to September 10.
There will be a one-week break in the first week of July as Riot takes its usual Mid-Year Break. The full schedule, however, is yet to be confirmed.
What we know, though, is that the 2023 LEC Summer Split will follow the same format as the two previous splits: first there will be a single round-robin with all 10 teams, then the Groups Stage, and finally, the Summer Playoffs.
The LEC Season Finals will determine the Worlds participants
After the end of Summer Playoffs, the LEC teams will have the most important part of the season: the LEC Season Finals. The six best teams will be fighiting for the 3 Worlds seeds, as well as the spot for the Worlds Qualifying Series.
For now, MAD Lions and G2 Esports have already confirmed their spot inside the Season Finals, after winning the Spirng and Winter Splits respectively. The Summer Split champions will also get a spot, with the three other teams being decided by the amount of championship points earned throughout the year.
The teams will compete from August 19 and it will run for four weeks, with match days every Saturday and Sunday. The Finals will tkae place from September 8-10 in Montpellier.
Tickets will be available soon
Tickets for the 2023 LEC Summer Split and 2023 LEC Season Finals matches will go on sale on May 26 at 5pm CEST via emeatickets.lolesports.com. The tickets are going to be for matches taking place at the LEC Studio in Berlin, and they will be priced at €12, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Riot also mentioned that they are moving the ticketing services to Vivenu, so they will no longer be on Eventbrite like the previous splits.
