Smash Bros is the biggest celebration of different worlds of gaming out there, combining all sorts of different titles. To make it into the Smash roster though, you really have to hit a level of popularity few games manage, that or be a Nintendo rep! Among Us Smash Bros is a topic many wondered about after the game exploded in popularity. While they’re not there officially, the crewmates have popped up via some fan creations.

Is Among Us in Smash?
A fan-created Smash Bros Among Us mod managed to get some excitement going, but no, Among Us is not in Smash! The crewmates featured in the viral murder mystery have not been added to Smash Ultimate.
The title achieved big popularity on Twitch and as a bit of a meme. However, Smash Bros tends to have higher barriers to entry for third-party reps. More recent inclusions from trending games that achieved a lot of critical and commercial success have included characters like Cuphead and Sans. Both of these only made it in as Mii costumes though, not dedicated fighters. On top of that, Among Us hasn’t really broken through as an icon of gaming in the same way. It feels like we’re more likely to get Josney the Fortnite skin in before Among Us!

The crewmates being actual game characters mean they do stand more of a chance than other picks. It isn’t a “never”, like with Goku in Smash. However, an Among Us Smash Bros rep does seem pretty unlikely right now, unless the game can maintain popularity across a few more entries and go beyond a viral hit.
Fan Created Among Us Smash Bros Collabs
While a Smash Bros Among Us crossover doesn’t seem likely, some fans who have taken matters into their own hand. One fan created an Among Us Fighter fully functional in Smash! It isn’t an official character, just a bit of fun. However, this is what it might look like if Among Us Smash Bros became a real thing.
This is a fun addition. The best Smash Bros mods include loads of fun characters getting ported into the game though, even if mods for Switch games are a bit trickier than Street Fighter mods.
Other Among Us Guest Spots
Among Us Smash Bros might not happen, but that doesn’t mean no one else has welcomed the crewmates on board. The Among Us characters have featured in quite a few crossovers since the game exploded.
The Among Us X Fortnite crossover is a fun example. Fortnite is fast becoming another big area to watch for crossovers with loads of characters making the cut, the Crewmates did come here by way of a back bling. Interestingly, a bug allowed players to get extra free v-bucks through using the Among Us store before it was fixed.
Among Us characters have also appeared in other games. While a Smash Bros Among Us crossover probably isn’t going to happen, fans can still find the popular characters in loads of other games.
