The MIXUP Opens Tekken World Tour in Europe With Other Fighters

The MIXUP 2023 is a French tournament and one of the biggest coming up for fighting games in Europe. This is a three-day event with seven different main tournaments alongside some side events. Over the course of this weekend’s event, we’re going to see loads of the biggest fighting games get new tournaments. There are brackets featuring some of Europe’s top players for Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, and more.

This time of year might be more dominated by the two EVOs, but there’s still plenty going on in Europe. The MIXUP is going to feature some top players in its fifth year. This is how the MIXUP is going to work, the games at the tournament, and what to watch out for across all of the events.

The MIXUP 2023

The MIXUP 2023 is a premier fighting game event taking place in Lyon France. It’s a three-day event that features most of the major fighters. It’s all going to be going down from April 22-23.

Over the course of these three days, we’ll see 7 main fighting game tournaments go down. These will start will pools before moving through to a more direct bracket. The format is roughly the same for each of the events, but the number of players taking part is going to vary quite a bit.

Tournaments at the MIXUP 2023

The MIXUP 2023 is going to feature 7 full-length tournaments. It has the biggest hitters in fighting games and plenty of 2D fighters. There are also some games we don’t see get as many outings too though, like Soul Calibur. These are all of the main tournaments taking place over the three days at the MIXUP 2023.

Out of the main events, Tekken is a major one. There is going to be a bracket that’s the first European event for the Tekken World Tour 2023. Tekken 8 will also be present at the event as a closed alpha test. Players can try the game out early at the MIXUP 2023.

Side Events at the MIXUP

Alongside all of those tournaments, there are going to be some smaller events for games that are fun but don’t quite hold the biggest sway over fighting game esports anymore. The side tournaments at the MIXUP 2023 are going to be Vampire Savior and Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

That’s what’s going on at the MIXUP 2023. It’s one of the bigger European events for fighting games. This will be a great chance to see how European players stand right now in each of these games.
