Alliance Roster Shuffle: Captain CTOMAHEH1 out, Dukalis and Limitless in

Alliance is shaking up their roster, as they officially part ways with Nikolay “CTOMAHEH1” Kalchev, as per a post on their social media on August 2nd, 2022. CTOMAHEH1, the former captain of the squad, will be replaced by Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin.

The team also announced the signing of Yaroslav “Limitless” Parshin to the offlane position. Alliance had been without an Offlaner since parting ways with Moiez “symetricaL” Lin at the start of July.

Alliance founder, CEO, and performance coach Jonathan “Loda” Berg explained the reason for the departure: “With a poor season behind us in Div 1 we are making changes to the core of the Dota 2 team to better prepare for ESL and later TI qualifiers.”

Loda went on to thank CTOMAHEH1 directly “There is much to say but most of all I have enjoyed spending time with you, you are awesome.” CTOMAHEH1 clearly leaves Alliance on good terms, something anyone who has watched Alliance’s vlog series can attest to.

Alliance’s assistant coach, and Esports.gg alum, Leon “Arthur” Lee Wei Yip shared similar sentiments: “Loved every moment working alongside CTOMAHEH1. I’m sure you’ll be the light anywhere you go. Wish you nothing but the best and I’ll forever cherish the time we spent together, hope we meet again. Much love brother”

Alliance Reshuffling Roster for TI

As noted in their statement Alliance is making roster moves ready for ESL One Malaysia and TI qualifiers. Their new additions, Dukalis and Limitless, were previously part of some successful DPC squads.

Dukalis captained PuckChamp during their DPC efforts. Limitless had been active for HellRaisers at the start of the DPC season, but later on supported both Rune Eaters and Alliance as a substitute during Tour 3. His move to the main roster is a promotion clearly based on merit.

Whether these Alliance roster moves will be successful remains to be seen. Alliance will have a tough road to qualify for TI11, with the likes of Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy, and the rest of the EU hopefuls on their tail.
