Alpine Esports Series starts in March

Alpine Esports fields teams in major sim racing tournaments, such as the Virtual LeMans and the F1 Esports Series. This year, however, they will also launch their own competition, the Alpine Esports Series, which will be held on Assetto Corsa Competizione.

With a total prize pool of $60,00 worth of Alpine Fan Tokens, anyone with Assetto Corsa and the GT4 expansion pack will be able to participate in the qualifiers, which begin on Mar. 27th. The real competition is set to start in May. Aside from the crypto token prize pool, players can also win driving hardware, experiences, and merch.

To boost the viewership this year, the organizers are also setting up an additional $40,000 (~£33,000) in fan token bundles and free NFTs for viewers watching the series online.

The competition will have its own set of sponsors

Alongside Binance as its Series sponsor for the crypto prize pool, the esports division also announced new partnerships with smart contract blockchain platform QAN (Official Blockchain Partner), VR/XR tech company Varjo, eye-tracking tech brand Tobii, and mobile racing game developer The Digital Factory.

In particular, the new Alpine Esports Content Room will be “powered by QAN”. The content studio will be used to create immersive and interactive content, as well as livestreams with drivers and ambassadors.
