G2 Esports are partnering up with Philippine-based esports organization Blacklist International and will field together a Wild Rift team to compete in Asia.
G2 Esports – Blacklist co-branded Wild Rift team
The partnership will kick off the launch of G2 Blacklist – the co-branded team that will compete in League of Legends: Wild Rift, operating out of the Philippines.
Blacklist International is the official esports division of Tier One Entertainment, an esports and video gaming-oriented entertainment agency. With the goal of establishing itself as a leading esports organization, Blacklist International have decided to form a partnership with another leading esports organization like G2.
Given G2’s success within the esports scene across multiple titles, including League of Legends, Rocket League, and CS:GO, Blacklist found the perfect partner to participate in Riot’s new mobile game based on the PC game.
Alongside the partnership announcement, G2 Blacklist also announced its Wild Rift team, consisting of championship-caliber players:

The team will debut in the Phase 2 Qualifiers of the Wild Rift League Asia on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023. The partnership between Tier One Entertainment and G2 will be bolstered by the launch of a new series called The Bootcamp, which will document the journey of the Wild Rift squad. In addition, world-renowned Philippine street artist Juanito “Quiccs” Maiquez will create an exclusive art piece to celebrate the collaboration.

The CEOs of the two company comment on the partnership
Considering the importance of this deal, both companies’ CEOs have commented on the partnership.
Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, commented: “We’re combining the best of the East and the West to take a new Esports competition by storm. Blacklist International is already a significant presence in games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile.
