Arena Breakout is a new mobile first-person shooter (FPS), created by More Fun, a Tencent Games studio. A fresh new BETA is scheduled for this week, and will be released on Android and iOS soon.
What makes this game really exciting is its unique take on the FPS genre. Its unique playstyle makes it a genre-defining title.
What is Arena Breakout?
Arena Breakout is a “tactical FPS”, and quite different to any other game on mobile currently. The game offers a very realistic take on the battlefield with high graphics and numerous sound effects. Besides this, the game is advertising highly-customizable weapons through the Gunsmith. Each gun has numerous attachment slots which can be filled with different attachments as per your play style.
There are four big maps in Arena Breakout. Players are deployed on the battlefield and have to raid it for loot and resources. The goal is to reach the evacuation point while taking out any enemies on the way. You can play solo or as a team, in what seems to be a blend between objective based FPS and a Battle Royale.
The game’s graphics look really good from all previews, but the system requirements for it could be high too.
Tencent hasn’t revealed what they are yet, though.
How to register for Arena Breakout closed beta?
Arena Breakout will likely be released later this year, but before that Tencent is doing a global closed beta test. The game has already gotten smaller-scale tests done in the past and this is the first one at this scale.
The closed beta test will kick off on Feb. 17 on Android. It will be available in the following countries:
Australia
Canada
Mexico
New Zealand
The Philippines
United Kingdom
United States
It will later be released in Portugal, Japan, and Indonesia on March 9. Tencent has also confirmed that the iOS test will happen in March. A specific date, though, is yet to be announced.
To sign up for the test, players can head over to the official website of the game and enter their email. Players will be notified over email if they are selected for the test.
