Red Bull Campus Clutch is a true global series, with representation from more countries than even the official VCT, in an event exclusively with university student competitors.
Despite not being affiliated with the VCT, the series is co-organized with Riot Games and back by major sponsors like Steelseries & Intel. Events such as the Red Bull Campus Clutch are critical to the competitive Valorant scene, as this series that hosts teams all across the worlds provides a stage for the next generation of talent to take the next step and enter the professional scene.
Campus Clutch Finals head to Sao Paulo, Brazil
The fairly short 4-day event will start in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from the 13-16th of December, featuring 50 teams from over 40 different countries.
All teams qualified for the Red Bull Campus Clutch Finals through separate national / regional events, and represent the best of the 4500 who applied to compete in the series. As expected, no major names are participating in the event given it is only restricted to university students. However, props to the creativity of students with interesting names ranging from MB5 Wagyu Gaming, Socks Up to Salsa Champions.
The prize for the finals of the Red Bull Campus Clutch 2022 is set at €20,000 EUR. The prize pool break down will mirror 2021 where 100% of the prizepool went to the winners. While this may prove a disappointment for most teams, doing so only motivates the teams to fight harder, resulting in more intense competition.
Full information on teams and players in attendance is available on the official page.
You can watch the finals on the official Redbull Twitch channel. Note the events will only be live in its final two days, on the 15-16th of December.
