Ever had the dream of being able to participate in a Yu-Gi-Oh duel where the monsters actually show up as 3D holograms? French streamer, Zouloux might have just made that possible.
Over the last seven months, Zouloux has been crafting a streaming system where multiple cameras pick up on each card in his deck. Once the card is placed on the dueling mat, a holographic image of the monster appears on the screen.
That is not it though. The characters also are 3D and have dueling motions and mechanics.
Yu-Gi-Oh just hopped to a whole new level
“Today, I am very happy to be able to say that I did it”, said Zouloux in a recent video. After seven months of crafting what seemed to be an impossible experience, the popular streamer and Yu-Gi-Oh enthusiast has officially made the dreams of many come true.
“When I put the card down, it changes the scene”, describes Zouloux when talking about how this new feature works. “When I summon a monster, it automatically changes the camera.”

Once the camera angle has changed, a holographic moving image of the monster appears above it. The camera then will move back to an overhead look at the cards once the motion has ended.
“This will allow me to have a more dynamic stream”.

These images bring the cards to life, allowing for players to see their monsters first-hand while dueling.
The future is bright for Yu-Gi-Oh duelists
With the creation of this feature, one can only wonder how much longer until dueling with 3D Yu-Gi-Oh monsters will be available to everyone. The fact that this creator has brought his cards to life is not only fascinating but extremely innovative.
