When it was time for championship Sunday, the top eight players duked it out under the check format. This meant a competitor who wanted the tournament crown must get a minimum of 20 points and then secure a first-place match finish.

After claiming enough points in Lobby Legends Eternal Night, Waterloooooo advanced to the final lobby and fought against DaPeeDou, oliech, Gohan, Valeera, guDDummit, keromon and Kid.

The Fight for First Place and the Crown

During the first game in the Lobby Legends Eternal Night finals, Waterloooooo steadily climbed to the top, eventually facing DaPeeDou and oliech within the top three. After taking down his opponents with the help of Vol’jin and his upgraded tavern tier and minions, Waterloooooo earned his share of points.

Next, Waterloooooo chose Reno Jackson as his hero. Although he got pushed to last place in the mid and late game, he didn’t give up. Despite his low health total, Waterloooooo persisted and claimed second place against  DaPeeDou with the help of Pirate minions.

Although Waterloooooo didn’t get first place in the next few games, he turned it around in the final one. He went for Millhouse Manastorm as his hero, taking full advantage of the passive’s buying power. After taking down Gohan with his buffed minions, Waterloooooo secured the winning match finish. With a total of 27 points, he claimed the Hearthstone Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends Eternal Night crown!

New Minions in Hearthstone Battlegrounds

New cards for the Hearthstone Battlegrounds game mode were revealed during the tournament as well, and they include Atramedes, Tunnel Blaster, Wargear and Uther the Lightbringer as minions.

Legendary Paladin and leader of the Silver Hand – Uther the Lightbringer joins the Battlegrounds as a tier 6 minion! His powerful Battlecry is one of the best ways to buff neutral minions!

While Atramedes is tier 4 dragon, Tunnel Blaster can work as a great counter to division shields. Meanwhile, Wargear is tier 4 Magnetic card that has Mech synergy. As for Uther the Lightbringer, he is a tier 6 minion with a powerful Battlecry that can buff another minion.

This is all for Lobby Legends Eternal Night. If you are interested in Hearthstone Battlegrounds don’t forget to check out the 23.6 patch notes. Stay tuned to Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates.
