The next Hearthstone expansion is Murder at Castle Nathria, and it features the Infuse keyword, Legendary suspects plus the new Location card type! The new Hearthstone expansion is scheduled to launch on Aug. 2.

All About Murder at Castle Nathria

The premise of the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion is Sire Denathrius throwing a dinner party that’s going well until someone murders the host himself. Players must then put their detective caps on and figure out the murder mystery while using all the new mechanics.

In addition to the keyword, card type and Legendary cards, Murder at Castle Nathria has 135 new cards for players to add to their collection.

Murder at Castle Nathria Infuse Keyword

The new Infuse keyword is a reference to Anima from World of Warcraft’s Shadowlands expansion. A Hearthstone card with Infuse takes in lost Anima when a friendly minion dies. Then, the card transforms into a stronger version of itself. These cards are also held in a player’s hand to get the full infusion effect. Once fully transformed, these cards also get new artwork.

Examples of cards with the Infuse keyword include Door of Shadows and Priest of the Deceased.

Location Card Type

Next, Murder at Castle Nathria showcases the new Location card type. Locations are additions to the board and provide buffs. To use a Location card, players simply have to drop it on the board and activate it while taking note of the one-turn cooldown and durability.

A couple of Location cards are Muck Pools and Sanguine Depths. The Muck Pools card transforms a friendly minion into one that costs one more mana. Meanwhile, Sanguine Depths is all about dealing one damage to a minion and giving it +1 attack.

Legendary Suspects

Of course, the Hearthstone expansion is not complete without new Legendary suspects. Murder at Castle Nathria has 10 new Legendary minions, with one per class. Cards like Baroness Vashj and Decimator Olgra are among them. Upon login, players receive Prince Renathal as well. He is a neutral Legendary card that grants a player 10 extra health and allows a deck to have 10 more cards.

Another minion to note is Murloc Holmes, and a player who solves three clues about their opponent’s cards can get a copy of them. This is in addition to Suspicious Usher, which lets a player discover a Legendary. Meanwhile, the Primordial Wave spell transforms enemy minions into ones that cost one less plus transforms friendly minions into ones that cost one more mana.
