Brazilian esports organisation LOUD has announced that its League of Legends midlaner, Jean Carlo ‘Mago’ Dias, will no longer compete for the team following what it described as ‘internal conflicts’ with the coaching staff.

According to the organisation’s statement, translated into English, Mago had informed management on Wednesday that he was ‘no longer interested in continuing with the project.’ LOUD noted that attempts were made to reconcile the situation; however, the player reportedly did not attend training the following day or scheduled sessions with the team psychologist.

During his final training session, Mago was quoted in the announcement as saying: “Who does Raise think he is? Faker?”

LOUD added that it has already acquired a replacement player and is focused on integrating the new signing ahead of its next commitment in the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL). CBLOL is Brazil’s top-tier professional League of Legends competition operated by Riot Games.

Coach Addresses the Situation

Shortly after the organisation’s statement, LOUD’s Head Coach, Oh ‘Raise’ Ji-hwan, commented on the situation via X (formerly Twitter): “As the team head coach of the semifinals, I sincerely apologise to the fans for this absurd situation that has occurred.

“However, every decision I make is for the team, not driven by my emotions or personal desires, and I have not the slightest shame about it.”

Raise added that the decision had been ‘absolutely necessary,’ while also acknowledging that it had occurred at ‘an unfortunate time.’ The coach later followed up with a brief post thanking LOUD and its fans.

LOUD’s CBLOL Cup Campaign

The roster change came amid LOUD’s CBLOL Cup 2026 run. During the regular season, the team finished with a 3–4 record, placing fourth in the standings behind organisations such as LØS, RED Canids and FURIA.

Despite the mixed regular-season performance, LOUD progressed through the playoffs. The team secured victories against Keyd Stars and LØS to reach the later stages of the bracket, keeping it in contention for the title.

The timing of Mago’s departure placed additional focus on LOUD’s upcoming matches, particularly given the midlane role’s strategic importance within the current meta. LOUD has yet to publicly reveal the identity of the replacement player.
