Fnatic have secured a very important win over T1 in the second game of Worlds 2022 group stage. The third seed of the LEC shocked many with a dominant display against T1 who had dismantled EDG in their previous game in just under 22 minutes.
Fnatic’s win also meant that all LEC teams finished Day 2 of Worlds 2022 group stage with a 3-0 win record. While they still may not be favorites to make it out of the group, they’ve certainly put their names on the list with a 2-0 start.

Fnatic decided to go for the Lucian-Nami bot lane which Rogue played earlier despite nerfs to Nami. The decision paid off as Fnatic completely dominated the bot lane with both Elias”Upset” Lipp and Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov not afraid to step up to their counterparts.
Moreover, Marek “Humanoid” Brázda continued his fine form from the Play-In stage and made it hard for the legendary Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok to have more impact on the map.
While top lane was going in favor of T1, Fnatic continued to press their advantages elsewhere and eventually shut down Choi “Zeus” Woo-je.
Fnatic picked up the baron and broke down T1’s base in the 25th minute. They decided not to overstep and go for their second dragon instead. With the dragon in hand and a 10,000 gold lead, Fnatic marched down the mid lane and wiped out T1 from the map.
The ‘Group of Death’ looking even more scary
Heading into Worlds 2022, Group A was tagged as the ‘Group of Death’ given that both T1 and EDG were in it. After qualifying from the Play-In stage and landing in the group, not many people expected Fnatic to kick off with a 2-0 start. With four more games left, Fnatic still need more wins but they’ve put more pressure on the remaining teams in the group.
