All roster moves ahead of Call of Duty League Major 3 2025

With the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) entering its second half of the season, teams are preparing for the final two Majors of the year and are ready to secure one of eight places at the season-ending CDL Championship.

Roster changes in Call of Duty esports occur on a regular basis as teams attempt to build a roster competing at the very top. Ahead of Major 3, several moves are expected to shake up the competition. With that said, here are all of the confirmed changes ahead of the online qualifiers for CDL Major 3.

OpTic Texas began the year by signing Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland in place of Amer ‘Pred’ Zulbeari, who stepped away from the OpTic Texas roster in late 2024. However, ahead of Major 2, Pred returned to the starting line-up, replacing Huke.

Major 2 was a major disappointment for the Green Wall. After winning one of its eight online qualifiers, the team released Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams and brought in Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno in a bid to find some form in front of its home crowd. Moreover, Pred was released from the team for a second time, with Huke returning once again.

Before Major 3, OpTic Texas sits in sixth place with 110 CDL Points to its name. A poor third Major increases the possibility of Call of Duty’s most popular team missing out on the biggest tournament of the year.

Another team looking for a strong second half to the 2025 season is Miami Heretics.

After finishing third in the first Major, expectations were high for the all-Spanish roster. Despite its initial success, form quickly dropped off in Major 2, scoring a top 12 placement after a defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Thieves.

In a bid to secure a place at Champs, Miami has moved Alejandro ‘Lucky’ López to the substitute bench in favour of former Kansas City Pioneers player Diego ‘SupeR’ Escudero.

SupeR has competed towards the top of the North American Challengers scene, most recently scoring a top 16 finish at the Dallas Open, which ran alongside Major 2.

Miami Heretics is in eighth place with 100 CDL Points. With two more Majors and two sets of online qualifiers to earn points, there’s a chance the Spaniards can hold on and become the only all-European roster to play at the CDL Championship in June.
