All roster moves ahead of LEC Spring 2025

With LEC 2025 Spring Split starting this weekend, EMEA’s franchised teams are prepared and ready to compete for two valuable spots at this year’s Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

Even though roster moves in between splits are not as common as the early years of League of Legends, there have been some meaningful and surprising moves in the LEC that are going to shake up the competition. Let’s take a look at all the roster changes for the LEC 2025 Spring Split.

If there were a medal given to a team for unthinkable transfer moves, Team Vitality would probably have one right now. The team came into 2025 looking to raise its top side trio alongside veterans Matyáš ‘Carzzy‘ Orság and Zdravets ‘Hylissang‘ Iliev Galabov. While the team looked fine in certain series, Vitality was often a victim of volatile gameplay and decision-making.

While evaluating new players is quite common, Team Vitality made the bold decision to bring in former mid laner Yasin ‘Nisqy‘ Dinçer as its starting support. After being teamless at the start of 2025, Nisqy will complete his first role swap.

The player is known for having a supportive playstyle, and that characteristic was probably the defining element that convinced Vitality’s coaching staff to make the swap. For the upcoming Spring split, it will be interesting to see if the French team has struck gold with this surprising roster move.

SK Gaming have undergone a disappointing start to its 2025 campaign, having finished second-to-last in LEC Winter 2025 with only one win on the scoreboard. Despite putting together what was supposed to be a mid-tier team, SK struggled to find a suitable identity.

In an attempt to fix this, Jungler Ismaïl ‘ISMA’ Boualem has been replaced. In his stead, the German organisation brings in Mehdi ‘Boukada‘ Lahlou from Karmine Corp Blue in the LFL. Throughout his stint on the team, Boukada was often one of the players responsible for initiating fights, as suggested by his champion pool with the likes of Vi, Maokai and Viego.

As a result of this move, he will now have the chance to prove his worth on the bigger European stage.

SK was seemingly not satisfied with its bot lane player Cho ‘Rahel‘ Min-seong and has ended up benching him as well. According to Sheep Esports. Rahel’s lack of in-game communication was the deciding factor behind the decision.

As a result, German player Tim ‘Keduii‘ Willers has joined the lineup. The ADC player will reunite with his former teammates Reeker and Janik ‘JNX’ Bartels after the three dominated the tier-two scene on BDS Academy.

While ISMA initially headed to Karmine Corp Blue following the trade between himself and Boukada, a late decision by GIANTX’s jungler Can ‘Closer‘ Çelik to take a break from competitive for personal reasons has brought the Belgian player back into the LEC.

In a surprising turnaround of events, ISMA will now play for a team that was competing for the playoffs in Winter. As such, he will have the chance to redeem himself for the poor performance in the previous split.
