Every Legend of Zelda Game for the Switch Is On Sale for Labor Day

I was just as surprised as you when I discovered some of the best Switch games were on sale ahead of Labor Day weekend – and I’m not exaggerating when I say the best. The newest Legend of Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom, is at its lowest price yet as part of Walmart’s Labor Day sale. As someone who’s been waiting for the right time to dive into the latest (and largest) iteration of Hyrule, I didn’t hesitate to grab this deal myself.

What We Said in Our Review

Tom Marks sums it up well in his verdict from IGN’s 10/10 review of Tears of the Kingdom:

“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an unfathomable follow-up to one of the greatest games ever made, somehow improving upon it in nearly every way – be that with simple quality-of-life improvements, a genuinely exciting story, or wildly creative new building mechanics that make you rethink what is possible. It both revamps old ground and introduces vast new areas so immense it somehow makes me wonder if Breath of the Wild was actually all that big, with an almost alarming number of tasks to complete, mysteries to discover, and delightful distractions to keep you from ever reaching that place you naively thought you were headed. Nintendo has followed up a triumph with a triumph, expanding and evolving a world that already felt full beyond expectation and raising the bar ever higher into the clouds.”

More Zelda Game Deals

Oh, you thought that was all? Plenty more Zelda games for Switch are discounted right now, including TotK’s predecessor, Breath of the Wild (which IGN also gave a 10/10).

What about the New Zelda game?

We haven’t found any discounts on The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom yet, but you can check out our pre-order guide for what may be the most anticipated upcoming Switch game this year. Releasing on September 26, the new game’s 2D art style gives Link’s Awakening vibes, though Princess Zelda herself is finally taking center stage with all-new abilities to match.
