Sweet redemption: Everyone’s favorite giraffe Pokémon won Worlds 2024

New champions were crowned at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, and one beloved Pokémon finally got its redemption arc after one whole year.

Pokémon Worlds ended on Aug. 18 with an intense VGC finals match between Luca Ceribelli and Yuta Ishigaki. Both players and their Pokémon teams performed well all weekend, but it was Ceribelli who came out on top with Miraidon, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon, Iron Hands, Whimsicott, Rapid Strike Urshifu, and Farigiraf.
