Team Rocket has returned to Pokémon Go, with their latest takeover event happening during Adventure Week 2024. To save Cresselia, you can track down Giovanni in a new Special Research, Adventure Week: Taken Over.

Like previous Team Rocket takeover events, you have a short time to grab the latest Special Research and begin working on it. Luckily for trainers, as long as you have the Special Research, you can work through it at your own pace. Giovanni will continue to have his Legendary Shadow Pokémon and you can add them to your collection.
