Fast-paced mech multiplayer game Mecha BREAK is getting an open beta test on PC and, surprise, it launches in just a few weeks.
Developer Amazing Seasun Games revealed its plans for a pre-launch beta today, revealing that it will open its doors for all from August 10 to August 13. There will also be a limited access test for those who have participated in previous tests and select dedicated players that begins August 2 and ends August 8. Registration begins on its Steam page tomorrow.
The Mecha BREAK open beta gives players a chance to try out the 6v6 mode and use a new mech: Stego. Amazing Seasun says this latest build brings “significant changes to the rhythm of combat, time-to-kill, and an overall faster pace for all mechs.” If you’re interested in joining limited access before the open beta launches for everyone, you can also take a shot at nabbing a code by joining the Mecha BREAK Discord, pre-registering on the website, or watching gameplay on Twitch.
Amazing Seasun says the beta period allows players the opportunity to go hands-on with Mecha BREAK’s action while the studio tests server load and stability. Severs will be available in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions.
Mecha BREAK’s goal is to put players dead center in chaotic mech action. That means sitting in the pilot’s seat of hulking metal tools of destruction in modes like 3v3 Arena, 6v6 Battlefield, and a giant 60-player PvEvP option. It features designs from Metal Gear, Gundam, Armored Core, and Death Stranding veteran Takayuki Yanase, too, with players able to further customize their mechs to their liking.
We went hands-on with Mecha BREAK earlier this year and loved the bullet-hell-like dream it’s shooting for. At the time, we said we left the early build “wanting more” of its “fun, dazzling mech action.” No release date has been revealed. Expect to learn more about Mecha BREAK before it launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.
