College Football 25: EA Sports Shares New Details on Dynasty Mode

With roughly two weeks to go until College Football 25 is released, EA Sports has finally shared details on fan-favorite Dynasty Mode, detailing all the tools players can access on their quest to build a dynasty in college football.

In the new gameplay deep dive, EA Sports revealed that College Football 25’s Dynasty Mode will allow you to start as a head coach, or you can have a more humble beginning and start as a coordinator and work your way up to the stop. More interestingly, there are different skill trees broken up into three core pillars, which you can read a bit more about below:

Motivator: A coach who can motivate their players to play the best Recruiter: Someone who is good at recruiting the top players from each recruiting class yearTactician: Skilled at boosting players’ ratings on game day by crafting plays that can assist in winning big games

EA Sports notes that every choice and decision you make will impact Dynasty Mode beyond just recruiting the best players possible, as how you build your staff will impact your program’s performance. To add immersion into the game, EA Sports revealed that players who opt to become head coaches will be able to manage their staff during conference championship week, allowing them the option to fire their coordinators within that week-long timeframe with the ability to hire new coordinators during the first week of Bowl Games, assuming you have a spot open.

Plenty to Customize

Like Road to Glory, Dynasty Mode in College Football 25 will also have Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, and the Transfer Portal will be critical tools for recruiting purposes as you snatch up talent from HS and current student-athletes looking to go to another school. Other interesting tidbits include Dynasty Mode, which offers players the option to convince kids to stay at your school if they decide to either enter the Transfer Portal or declare for the NFL Draft.

When recruiting players, each will have different desires and goals they want in the school they plan to commit to. Recruits could care about things such as playtime, the likelihood of winning championships, building their brand to obtain more NIL deals, staying close to home, stability in the coaching staff, and academic prowess, to name a few.

Yet, the most interesting thing coming to College Football 25’s Dynasty Mode is the ability to realign football conferences. Every conference is set with the 2024 realignment (e.g. Texas and Oklahoma heading to the SEC and Colorado heading to the Big 12). However, players are able to customize conferences. So you could, for example, add the University of Maryland back into the ACC or revive the PAC-12.

College Football 25 is headed to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 19 or July 16 for those that purchase the Deluxe Edition.
