South of Midnight Reveals New Trailer, Showing Gameplay and Lively Animation - Xbox Showcase 2024
Compulsion Games arrived at today’s Xbox Showcase with a new trailer for South of Midnight, showing off both new gameplay and some lively animation, complete with a couple of cool creatures.
Watch the trailer below. South of Midnight will arrive on Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in 2025, although we’re still waiting on a more specific release date.
South of Midnight was first unveiled during last year’s Xbox Showcase, where it showed off a brief teaser. It’s a brand-new IP from We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games, following protagonist Hazel in the American Deep South.
The new trailer also gives us a preview of what the plot might cover, as it opens with a voiceover of Hazel asking, “Do you think there’s a chance my ma’s still alive?”
“If your ma’s anything like you, Hazel,” another voice replies, “she’ll keep fighting until we find her.”
