European esports organisation Team Vitality has announced a partnership with esports odds provider Abios.

The long-term deal will see the provider supply its esports data to the organisation to run a prediction tool.

Team Vitality’s fan prediction tool enables participants to predict how well its teams will perform in upcoming matches. Scores will be uploaded to a leaderboard and those with the highest scores can win merchandise and ‘money-can’t-buy experiences’ with professional players.

Abios’ data will include data for several titles Team Vitality competes in. This includes League of Legends, Counter-Strike, VALORANT and Starcraft II. According to a release, partnering with the odds provider is part of the organisation’s plan to create ‘an immersive fan experience’.

Team Vitality launched a prediction mini-game in May 2023 in partnership with betting company GG.BET. Built on the Tezos platform, the V.Hive app allows fans of the organisation to earn rewards and support its teams in addition to educating people about Web3 and blockchain technologies.

Abios is no stranger to the esports industry. In February 2024, it partnered with sportsbook solutions provider Betinvest to gain access to data from virtual football matches played as part of the provider’s CyberLive! Arena and Esports Pro Club circuits on EA Sports FC.

Amélie Canet, Director of Brand and Revenue Diversification at Team Vitality, spoke on the deal: “Through Abios’ interfaces, we are able to provide our fans with an immersive experience that goes beyond just watching matches.

“Together, we’re creating an environment where fans can interact, predict outcomes, and feel even closer to the esports action. Their tech overlay allows us to engage our fans and offer them a more entertaining experience.”
