YaLLa Esports is most known for its competitive prowess, having participated in a large number of tournaments in CS:GO, PUBG Mobile and VALORANT. The organisation has since shifted operations to its agency and tournament organisation arms, with the upcoming Compass tournament its largest-ever event.
According to a release, the partnership with BitSkins will see both parties work together on the event, but few details were shared by either company. What is known is that BitSkins and YaLLa Esports will work on ‘engaging giveaways’ during the broadcast throughout all phases of the tournament up to and including its LAN finals.
The tournament will have a prize pool of $450,000 (~£369,000) and is set to feature some of the world’s best CS2 teams. As of right now, Berlin International Gaming (BIG) is the only qualified team for the grand final in June 2024, having won the Fall season. The Spring season is currently underway and features the likes of Guild Eagles, BLEED Esports and Metizport participating. The winner will qualify for the LAN in June, and 10 other teams will receive direct invites.
Teemu Koski, VP of Media of YaLLa Esports, commented on the partnership: “BitSkins stands as an important advocate and supporter of Counter-Strike. Their product seamlessly aligns with the essence of the game. We are thrilled to have a forward-thinking partner like BitSkins join our journey to make Compass the technologically most advanced esports circuit.”
