Esports education and management platform Gameplan has announced a partnership with the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation.

As a result of the deal, the two parties will join forces to offer schools in Texas a range of esports-related educational courses.

According to a release, Gameplan has designed the courses to align with the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation’s commitment to diversity and inclusion within its projects. The deal will provide all members of the Federation access to Gameplan’s full platform of resources.

With the resources, Texas schools will have the opportunity to utilise resources that can integrate esports into their curriculum. In addition to pre-prepared resources, the platform enables teachers to create their own lessons focusing on the benefits of esports and gaming.

Founded in 2019, the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation is a not-for-profit organisation aiming to make esports accessible to children in the state. The Federation provides resources in addition to hosting competitions across multiple titles.

Gameplan continues to offer its educational services around the world. In January 2024, the platform appointed Chris Aviles as its Product Evangelist in a bid to advance scholastic esports in North America.

Rasmus Sandström, CEO of Gameplan, spoke on the partnership: “We are excited to team up with TexSEF and support their mission to provide high-quality esports education to all students. We wanted to find a local partner for the Texas market that understands the needs of the districts, educators, and students. In the TexSEF, we have found just that.

“This partnership represents a significant leap forward in making esports education accessible and equipping Texas students with the skills to succeed in this rapidly growing field.”
